McLean is a mature real estate market, with very few opportunities for new construction. This can be a double edged sword, but certainly helps keep relative value high. 24 major communities present the buyer with an excellent set of choices. There are entry level townhouses priced in the $300's and the largest zero-lot line homes close to $2 million.
In general, the more recently built homes have more square footage. The closer you are to McLean center or the Potomac river can also drive your investment higher. Location is a great asset, and McLean is one of the best in the country.
Before you read each area's description, you should know that all of the homes are built to very high standards. Some neighborhoods are basically attached single family homes, with large lots. Newer construction has used upgrades to help position themselves high on the wanted list. Because of that, some of the older communities are less expensive.
No matter which area you choose, the McLean address is the most exclusive of the Washington, D.C. area.
